BROAD BASED BLACK ECONOMICAL EMPOWERMENT POLICY
AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Through the years of developing this company to where it stands
today both
black skilled and semi-skilled labourers were part of the
developing
program and has always been in line with the present
government's
policy.
To conform to government legislation the company was restructured
by selling the majority shares of 51% to two previously historical
disadvantaged individuals namely,
Messrs. Stephen Moloi as C.E.O.and Amon Xulu as Technical Director of the restructured
company M.W. Beyers Armature Winding (PTY) LTD.
Both gentlemen are involved as owners, decision-makers and
are key figures in daily operations. This ensures an active
participation
by our empowerment partners and delivers real meaning to the
transformation process. The ventures have contributed both to
the
communities in which they operate and to M.W. Beyers Armature
Winding PTY (LTD's) growth.
The company's procurement policy includes the purchasing of
services and goods from SMME's and B.B.B.E.E Companies.
M.W. Beyers Armature Winding PTY (LTD's) strategy regarding
affirmative action is aimed at the development of all its
employees.
It believes that the promotion of a select few individuals is
inappropriate.
Opportunities are created to enable previously disadvantaged
employees to prepare themselves to occupy more skilled and
responsible positions within the organization.
The promotion of education and training opportunities, both
internally and externally for all employees is a key aspect of
this strategy. |
